Target End Users & Use Cases

Two audiences, one platform. QRSETU serves [A] business users (the three pillars + business-scoped features) and [B] individuals (business-independent generic utilities, usable without a business profile). This page curates both against real capability — it is not the full 40+ legacy list; it keeps only segments where QRSETU delivers clear value with features that exist today (or are near-term), and re-maps every use case onto live capabilities. Needs that depend on Appointments / Bookings / Schedules / Availability (business) or Invoicing / File-sharing (individual) are roadmap and tagged 🟡. Aligns with the locked Product Vision decisions (3 pillars core; CRM/Finance + booking modules = roadmap; template-first = core-but-greenfield; dual business + individual audience).

Capability vocabulary (what a business can actually use)

Everything below is expressed in these terms — not the legacy "service modules."

B. Individuals — generic-feature users (no business profile)

QRSETU is not only for businesses. Anyone can sign up (or land on a public page) and use the generic, business-independent features — no business, brand, or domain required. These segments rely entirely on 👤-scoped capabilities that already exist (QR, BioLink, digital card, forms, reminders); their roadmap needs are invoicing and file-sharing.

1. Students & researchers

Live fit: Forms & Surveys · QR Codes · BioLink · Reminders.

  • Forms/surveys to collect data for a project or study (Google-Forms-style).
  • QR to share a reading list, a submission link, or a poster's references.
  • BioLink as an academic profile (papers, LinkedIn, portfolio); reminders for deadlines.
  • 🟡 Roadmap: document/file sharing (share a paper or dataset).

2. Freelancers & independent professionals

Live fit: Digital Card (vCard) · BioLink · QR Codes · Lead/Inquiry Forms · Website (portfolio).

  • vCard + QR on a business card for instant contact; BioLink portfolio of work + links.
  • Inquiry form for client intake; optional Setu page as a personal portfolio site.
  • 🟡 Roadmap: invoicing, file/document sharing, payments.

3. Job seekers

Live fit: Digital Card (vCard / mini-résumé) · BioLink · QR Codes.

  • Digital card as a shareable contact/mini-résumé; QR on a printed résumé linking to a BioLink hub (portfolio, LinkedIn, GitHub, references).
  • 🟡 Roadmap: résumé/document sharing.

4. Creators & personal brands (non-monetized)

Live fit: BioLink · Polls · QR Codes · Forms.

  • BioLink hub for content + socials; polls to engage; QR linking offline → bio.
  • (Monetizing creators overlap with the business "Creators & Influencers" archetype above.)

5. General personal productivity

Live fit: Reminders · QR Codes · Forms.

  • Reminders for personal tasks; QR to quickly share a link, Wi-Fi, or note; forms to collect RSVPs for a personal event.
  • 🟡 Roadmap: QR-based file sharing, document sharing.

Blocker to serving this audience: onboarding is business-first today (requires a business domain/brand). The generic features exist; the work is a "personal / skip business" onboarding path + decoupling these features from business_profile. See the Product Vision architectural note.

What was deliberately excluded (and why)

  • Entertainment & Events (musicians/DJs, event planners, venue managers) and Multi-Location & Franchises — their core value is bookings, scheduling, and multi-location management, all 🟡 roadmap. Park until those modules exist; QRSetu offers only shallow value today.
  • Redundant sub-types (e.g. carpenters/mechanics vs. electricians; architects/artists vs. photographers) — collapsed into their shared delivery pattern above.
  • Legacy "Service Module Definitions", "Block Mapping Matrix", and "Admin Template Management (168+ templates)" from the source doc — replaced by the real capability vocabulary. The template engine is core-but-greenfield; don't cite specific template counts as current fact.

Roadmap unlock (what would widen the market most)

Ranked by how many parked/roadmap-gated segments they convert:

  1. Personal / "skip business" onboarding — unlocks the entire individual audience (students, freelancers, job seekers, creators, productivity users) using features that already exist. Highest leverage-to-effort, since it's mostly gating, not new features.
  2. Bookings / Appointments / Availability — unlocks Health & Wellness, Trades, Real Estate, Professional Services, Travel, Events (the single biggest business TAM expansion).
  3. Invoicing + Document / File sharing — unlocks Freelancers and most individual segments.
  4. Payments / UPI — unlocks Retail, Food ordering, and paid bookings.
  5. Multi-location — unlocks Franchises and chains.

These feed the HLD and the template-first architecture initiative.
